    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Brianna Morales is an author on a mission!

Never without a pen and paper, author Brianna Morales is the spouse of a police officer and mother of a toddler obsessed with lights and sirens. She came up with her debut book while singing “The Wheels on the Bus” to her toddler as police officers drove by on her way to daycare. While she is a Technical Recruiter and mom by day, she writes voraciously at night about whatever is flying through her mind at the time. Born on a military base and raised in Robeson County, Brianna is a proud native North Carolinian, and happens to be the only civilian in her family. After a decade of serving in nonprofits and education systems, she has recently transitioned into corporate recruiting and launched Hidden Acorn Books, LLC with her husband. With her debut book in the series “Big Careers for Tiny Dears,” she seeks to educate and empower the next generation of helpers.

Jamie Rimphanli, illustrator, is a native Californian. Her art skills started as a kid by drawing Garfield cartoons and watching her father create charcoal drawings. When she grew up, she found her passion in helping people in underserved communities find careers. During the COVID pandemic, she found an escape from the heaviness by regaining her love of art. She finds a special joy in doggy portraits and is thrilled to have illustrated her first children’s book for her friend Brianna Morales, a highlight in her life accomplishments.
